The Doctors
Dr. Lakhminder Sandhu
MBBS, FRNZCGP, FAEG, Dip in Travel Medicine, Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology (India)
Dr Sandhu graduated from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi in 2001. She then trained as a Gynaecologist in India and worked as a Family planning officer at Military hospital Amritsar. She immigrated to NZ in 2007 and worked in a general practice as a Medical Receptionist and then as physician assistant. She later worked at Waikato hospital in Department of Orthopedics, Oncology, General Surgery and Neurology.
Dr Sandhu is now a Fellow of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She holds a Diploma in Travel Medicine from Otago University. She is an accredited Yellow fever vaccinator. She is a trained Medical LASER operator and carries out and supervises laser hair removal procedures at our Skin Logics clinic. Her special interest is in Women’s health, Family Planning, Travel Medicine, Child health and Elderly health care.
Dr. Dilawar Singh
MBBS, FRNZCGP, FAEG, Dip. Skin cancer medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Dermoscopy (SCCA), Diploma in Cosmetic medicine ( NZSCM), FRNZCUCP
Dr Singh graduated from Delhi University in 1997. He served the Indian army as a medical officer till 2007 when he immigrated to New Zealand. He worked as a Registrar in the Emergency department for 3 years at Waikato hospital before getting into General practice.
He is a Fellow of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He holds a Diploma in Skin cancer Medicine and Surgery, Diploma in Dermoscopy, Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine and is a Member of NewZealand society of cosmetic medicine. He is also a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care Physicians. He has a special interest in Skin Cancer surgery, Mole checks, Cosmetic Medicine, Emergency care, Minor surgery.
Dr Meenakshi Prasad
MBBS, Diploma in Family Medicine
I did my MBBS (2005-2011) from St.John’s Medical College Bangalore,India.
I am fluent in English ,Hindi and able to speak some kannada having spent years in Bangalore.
I worked in Singapore in public health care for 5 years before moving to work as a GP for 3 years in the private sector.
I completed my Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from National University of Singapore(2017-19) & also became a
member of Family Physicians Board of Singapore.
I love to read, cook ,play with my son, go for long walks soaking in the beauty of NZ.
My special interests are women’s health and infectious diseases.
Dr. Patrick Yee
MBChB, MRNZCGP
Dr. Yee graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand. He has spent time working in Christchurch and at Waikato Hospital.
Dr. Umo Ofonime Umoh
MBBS
Dr. Umoh graduated from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. He has previous experience working in Africa, the West Indies, the USA and in New Zealand. He is currently working as a locum GP at Hamilton Lake Clinic. He has strong interests in migrant health and Urgent Care medicine.
Dr. Aung Kyaw
Dr Kyaw graduated from University of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar (formerly Burma) in 2008. He immigrated to the UK in 2009 and worked in various medical specialities before entering GP training. He finished GP training in the UK and gained membership of Royal college of General Practitioners (UK). He had been practising as a GP in Manchester, UK before moving to New Zealand. He fluents in Both Burmese and English languages.
